Client Success Stories

Rod and his team helped us with living trusts and even real estate deed issues. He is straight to the point and gets the job done in a timely fashion without over complicating things as past attorneys have. We are very grateful.

Rod REALLY knows his stuff! We tried Zoom legal and that was a FAIL! Rod set us straight and made us see and understand things that were truly important when planning our future! Thanks, Rod!

Working with Rod and team on my Living Trust was seamless. They guided me through the process and all my questions were answered. They were professional and truly cared that I understood everything along the way. I was a bit overwhelmed with the process yet Rod was able to counsel me and we got the job done!

I have had the pleasure of working with Rod Hatley on a number of client cases. In addition we co-presented several workshops for professionals over several years. I have always found that Rod places a high degree of emphasis on detail and accuracy. He works hard to make sure that clients get the outcomes they want. No stone is left unturned when you collaborate with Rod.

Rodney J. Hatley did a trust for my husband and I. It was done in the most unique way. He is very detailed in his work and leaves nothing for you to guess about. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs a trust.

Rod was happy to review the trust I had set up before I met him. He explained the pros and cons of how the trust documents were worded. I feel confident in following his advice and counsel. I also like the fact that he served in the military and comes highly recommend by a colleague.

Before my husband’s passing, we worked with another estate planning attorney. We put into place estate planning documents to supplement a special needs trust (SNT) that a paralegal had helped us establish for my husband’s benefit following his diagnosis of a critical illness. After my husband died, I didn’t feel that I was getting the assistance I needed to administer my husband’s SNT, which was both frustrating and upsetting. I was very distraught when I sought a second opinion from Attorney Rodney J. (“Rod”) Hatley, who was personally referred to me by another attorney with whom I was working. Rod gave me his undivided attention, reviewed the information I provided, and was able to advise me as to the steps necessary to administer my husband’s SNT. I cannot say enough about Rod’s integrity, empathy, and his ability to resolve difficult problems calmly and efficiently. Rod is “one in a million” and will always put the care and interests of his clients first so that no client’s family has to go through the challenges of conservatorship or probate when a loved one becomes mentally disabled or passes without proper planning.

Rod Hatley and his expertise in estate planning have been a major source of comfort and support for our family over a period of many decades. He revised the original estate planning that was done for my mother by another attorney in the (insert decade) to better suit her needs, and then Rod revised her plan again several years later, based on the changes in her life. All of which meant that, by the time of her passing, we had documents that accurately reflected her wishes, which were so important and helpful during that difficult time. During both periods of careful planning, Rod patiently answered all our questions – a wonderful level of support that he continued to provide long after our mother’s death until all the details of her estate had been wrapped up. In short, he didn’t just sell us an estate plan and then walk away – he was there for us, from beginning to end, during all the times that we really need him.

Rod Hatley is an exceptional estate and trust attorney. As a real estate broker with over 3 decades of experience, I only refer my clients to the best of the best when matters relating to trusts and estates require an attorney. Rod has always delivered great service and professionalism to my clients. I highly recommend Rod if you are looking for an attorney you can trust.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Rod for several years. I know he served well in the Navy. I know he served his family well in settling his father’s estate. I know he is a consummate professional. He has gone the extra mile to serve his clients well with an additional degree in taxation. When he accepts a client, he knows that it is the right fit. Why? Because he listens carefully to what is said. He asks the important questions to be sure he understands the issues. He feeds the information back to be certain he understands correctly. He will not act, or recommend any direction until he is certain of the rightness of action. He cares. Rod is a man of ethics and he is an attorney you can trust. He is also the rarest kind of professional, a gentleman.
